Introduction
Dr. Suneel Kumar Gupta — MBBS, MS, MCh (Neurosurgery) — is an extensively trained Minimally Invasive Neurosurgeon & Neurointerventional Surgeon at Aakash CIMS, Mathura. A graduate and postgraduate from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, he completed his MCh Neurosurgery at G.B. Pant Hospital (Maulana Azad Medical College), New Delhi. He was national topper of both University of Delhi & B.H.U., Batch 2004.
Dr. Gupta is among the few neurosurgeons in India who can perform both endovascular and endoscopic neurosurgery. He has enormous experience in minimally invasive spine procedures (Endoportal Microdiscectomy, TLIF, spinal tumour excision) and endoscopic brain surgeries (pituitary tumour, 3rd Ventriculostomy, AVM Embolization, Intracranial & Extracranial Stenting). He has worked with Continental Gleneagles Hospital, Hyderabad; Apollo Hospital, New Delhi; Apollo Hospital, Bhilai; and Nayati Medicity, Mathura. He is the first neurosurgeon in India to bring these advanced procedures to Tier 2/3 cities.

Overview of Endomicroneurosurgery
This subspeciality of Neurosurgery consists of three subdivisions: Endoscopic & Microscopic Brain Surgery, Endoscopic & Microscopic Spine Surgery, and Endovascular Neurosurgery.
Endoscopic Brain Surgery
Prototype of this surgery is Endoscopic third ventriculostomy for obstructed Hydrocephalus and intraventricular Endoscopy for cystic lesions of the ventricle. Its use has been extended to Pituitary adenoma and other brain tumour excision.

Endoscopic & Microscopic Spine Surgery
Prototype of this surgery is Lumbar Endoportal Microdissectomy. Its use has been extended to other minimally invasive spinal procedures including fixation and spinal tumour excision.

Endovascular Neurosurgery
This subdivision involves treatment of Intracranial aneurysm (coiling), AVM, Dural AVF, Brain Tumour Embolization, and Intracranial/Extracranial Vascular Stenting in a Neuro Cath Lab. As a minimally invasive technique it requires only a small incision, with materials manipulated via microcatheter far from the target site.
